Keyboard & Mouse Definitions
The definitions (below) are used in describing: Keyboard Shortcuts and Misc. Shortcuts.
- [Alt] = Alternate key
- [Ctrl] = Control key
- [Shift] = Shift key
- [Win] = Windows "special" key
- (has a small picture of a flying window)
- The above keys are held down while pressing 1 or more additional keys
- A dash (-) between keys indicates the keys are all pressed at the same time. In practice, it's usually easiest to:
- press and hold the 1st key
- press the 2nd key
- (and then press the 3rd key, if there is one)
- A space ( ) indicates you press the first key-combinations, release all the keys, then press the final key

- [arrow] = The 4 Arrow keys, usually located just left of the numeric keypad
- [Esc] = Escape key (top-left of keyboard)
- [F10] = The F10 function key

- aka 'Pause' key, often on the upper-right of your keyboard
- {click} = press and release the left mouse-button
- {Drag} = hold down the left mouse-button while moving the mouse
